During a recent trip, I had the opportunity to stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg, Florida. Booking the room was straightforward and affordable through a third-party site, which was convenient after traveling for about 12 hours and needing a place to rest. The hotel's location is a plus, with a nearby Walmart, fast food restaurants, and easy access to food delivery services.<br/><br/>However, our experience upon arrival was less than ideal. Despite paying an extra $50 for early check-in (before 1:00 p.m.), we were initially placed in a room with a malfunctioning toilet. The hotel staff expected us to troubleshoot the issue ourselves, which was frustrating given the additional cost we had incurred for early access. After some hesitation, the staff reluctantly agreed to move us to a different room.<br/><br/>Our new room, 210, was better situated, close to the front desk and an ice machine. While the hallway was clean and the room itself fairly nice, there were a few maintenance issues, including broken cabinetry. Given the cost of the room, I expected more attention to detail. <br/>On the positive side, the room had a nice view of the pool, which was both a blessing and a curse. While it was convenient to be close to the pool, the noise from outside was disruptive, especially after our long journey when we desperately needed some quiet rest. The walls were quite thin, and we could hear every sound from the hallway and the pool area, making it difficult to nap.<br/><br/>Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects of the stay, several issues detracted from the experience. Major questions over Wembley Stadium's security will be asked once again following a turbulent Champions League final that saw pitch invasions and 53 arrests.<br/><br/>Real Madrid claimed a record-extending 15th Champions League last night thanks to goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr as they defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in European club football's annual flagship match, this year hosted in London. <br/><br/>But the event was soured for some before kick-off when fans were seen charging towards the iconic stadium and attempting to enter via the 'Club Wembley' entrance, before being pushed back and turned away by security.<br/><br/>A series of pitch invaders then ran across the turf unchallenged in the early minutes of the match, forcing a halt in play. One of the people who ran onto the pitch stopped to take a selfie with Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior in what appeared to be an online dare with a cash reward up for grabs.<br/><br/>Then, following the full-time whistle, exclusive footage obtained by MailOnline appeared to show fans streaming through a stadium side door as the trophy ceremony was underway.<br/><br/>These lapses came despite a £ 5 million ring of steel defense being put in place by the Football Association to avoid a repeat of England's Euro 2020 day of shame.<br/><br/>That final - held in 2021 having been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic - saw ticketless fans storming the gates to gain access to the stadium.<br/><br/>Footage from outside Wembley tonight showed a group of men - many of whose faces were hidden under hoods - attempting to rush the stadium entrances, in scenes reminiscent of the 2021 events, albeit not on the same scale.<br/><br/>Some could be seen getting inside the Club Wembley entrance as they broke past security but were quickly turned around.<br/><br/>As well as this, the video outside the stadium shows what appears to be men fighting on the ground.<br/><br/>To combat this, police mounted on horses rushed in as reinforcements with riot police also seen marching down the street to regain control.<br/><br/>There were chaotic scenes inside the stadium, too, when shortly after kick-off, Wembley Stadium security staff had to jump into action to remove two pitch invaders.<br/><br/>Another person then ran onto the field to the visible annoyance of some players. <br/><br/>It took four security staff to apprehend the last invader, marking a shaky start to the night. Police later said five pitch invaders had been arrested.<br/><br/>It has since been revealed that a controversial Russian streamer promised the pitch invaders who stormed the Wembley turf £300,000.<br/><br/>The troublemakers wore t-shirts promoting 'Mellstroy', a scandalous vlogger who offered the prize reward to anyone who would invade the pitch in his name. <br/><br/>In 2020, the Moscow-based streamer Andrey Burim beat up a model and smashed her head onto a table during a YouTube livestream. <br/><br/>Burim also grabbed the model, Alena Efremova, by the neck during a social media party live-streamed to his then-680,000 YouTube subscribers. <br/><br/>The attack left a traumatized Efremova

Wembley suffered a fresh security fiasco last night after what appeared to be an orchestrated band of pitch invaders delayed the opening moments of the Champions League final. <br/><br/>On the week the Football Association revealed it had pumped £5million into improving Wembley’s security provisions, the UEFA showcase between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund was stopped soon after kick-off after at least three fans tried to enter the pitch, two of them successfully.<br/><br/>Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer tackled one to the ground. <br/><br/>Following the disgraceful scenes that marred the Euro 2020 final here at the national stadium in the summer of 2021, the FA were determined to host a trouble-free night.<br/><br/>But the governing body's first UEFA showcase final since that fateful night here three years ago was again impacted by an embarrassing security breach.<br/><br/>A record number of stewards for an event at Wembley were deployed for the game - in the region of 2,600.<br/><br/>But even that enough wasn’t to prevent intruders from forcing their way onto the pitch, much to the annoyance of both sets of players and benches.<br/><br/>On the plus side, the supporters’ route into Wembley is understood to have run smoothly, in complete contrast to the previous two finals in Paris and Istanbul which were both impacted by logistical issues outside the stadiums leading to fan chaos outside the respective grounds.<br/><br/>Nevertheless, the chaotic scenes at the start of the game will have come as a blow to Wembley’s security staff.<br/><br/>Cameras switched attention to the crowd rather than the pitch invasion, with viewers initially kept unaware of the disturbance.<br/><br/>More than 600 stewards in yellow bibs lined the touchline as the players came off for half-time.<br/><br/>An investigation was launched into how security at such a high-level match could be breached and whether there was any political element behind the incidents.<br/><br/>The Wembley Stadium announcer warned fans in English, German, and Spanish that entering the pitch was 'an arrestable offense'.<br/><br/>Social media was awash with criticism towards the FA after the early delay as users playfully referenced the £ 5 million expenditure on bolstering Wembley security since Euro 2020. <br/><br/>‘That’s £5million well spent,’ read one post on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter.<br/><br/>Another read: ‘Well…that’s £5million well spent. What a waste of money.’<br/><br/>Speaking this week, Chris Bryant, the FA’s director of tournaments and events, said: ‘It’s vital we deliver and do everything we can control in the best possible way.<br/><br/>‘We want this event to be as successful as possible for every reason, not least for the fans and the event in itself, but we know a lot of people will think about the Euros final as well.<br/><br/>'A massive amount of work has gone into this, an event of national significance and a chance to show London is fantastic at delivering big events, that Wembley is a home for big football matches and we do events like this very well.’
