Imagine ancient civilizations that straight-up vanished, leaving behind nothing but mysteries and unanswered questions. We're talking about places like the lost city of Atlantis or the enigmatic Nazca lines in Peru. These places have got archaeologists scratching their heads and diving deep into the history books, trying to piece together what went down. And let's not forget about the Mayans and their mind-blowing temples hidden deep in the jungle—how did they build those things without modern tech? It's like stepping into a real-life adventure movie, and we're all just along for the ride!Animation is created by Bright Side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Music from TheSoul Sound: https://thesoul-sound.com/

Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD34jRLrMrJux4VxV

Subscribe to Bright Side: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our Social Media:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightside.official
TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@brightside.official?lang=en

Stock materials (photos, footages and other):
https://www.depositphotos.com
https://www.shutterstock.com
https://www.eastnews.ru
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For more videos and articles visit:
http://www.brightside.me
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This video is made for entertainment purposes. SILENCE 2: THE NIGHT OWL BAR SHOOTOUT is the story of a heinous crime. ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) heads the Special Crime Unit. He's joined by Sanjana Bhatia (Prachi Desai), Amit Chauhan (Sahil Vaid), Raj Gupta (Vaquar Shaikh) and Javed (Nimesh Balaji Shinde). After the events of the last film, the unit has expanded though there's pressure on Commissioner Mayank Sharma (Manuj Bhaskar) to shut it down. One night, a deadly shootout takes place at Night Owl Bar where several people are killed. Avinash is asked to head the cast as the PA of a minister also dies in the shootout. Avinash and his team begin the investigation assuming that the shootout took place to eliminate the PA. But they soon realize that a girl present at the bar, Azma Khan (Surbhi Rohra), is the reason why the killings happened. She was present at the bar with her friend Irrfan and both were eliminated. As they investigate, the unit realizes that Azma was an escort. Meanwhile, the dead body of a girl named Tara Sachdev is found in Jaipur. Avinash realizes that there's a connection between the two murders. But it's not easy to zero in on a suspect as there are too many players involved, all with their own motives. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Aban Bharucha Deohans' story is intriguing. Aban Bharucha Deohans' screenplay is captivating in places. In no time, one gets sucked into the goings-on. The writing is also peppered with a lot of unexpected developments. However, it gets too stretched in the middle. Aban Bharucha Deohans' dialogues have an impact but a few one-liners seem forced.

Aban Bharucha Deohans' direction is uncomplicated, which is very important since a lot happens in the film and there are too many suspects. As it happens in most whodunits, the director makes viewers guess who must be behind the killings and the motive for doing so. There’s also a human trafficking angle that adds a lot to the plot. In fact, the Jaipur episode keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The suspense is unpredictable.

On the flipside, the film is 2 hours and 22 minutes long. It drags at some places. Though the makers try their best to keep the narrative simple, a few developments are confusing. The flashback of the killing at the bar is very unconvincing. How exactly the killer killed so many without a hindrance is not easy to digest. Also, the motive behind it is weak. A few developments are not depicted visually and are given a raw deal. It hampers the impact to some extent.

A woman with albinism wants revenge after a witch doctor hacks off her arm.

WHITE GOLD is used with permission from Luke Bradford. Learn more at https://lukebradford.com.

Mansa, a woman living with albinism in a village, set in an unnamed country in Africa. She lost one of her hands at an earlier age to the predations of a witch doctor named Natron, who mutilated her for his potions.

Mansa has had to live with the aftereffects of the violence, neglecting her work as a teacher and her role in the community. She is consumed with the idea of getting back at the man who treated her so inhumanely. She enlists her father to pose as a potential client to Natron, luring the witch doctor out of his home, where she can exact her revenge.

Written and directed by Luke Bradford, this Oscar-longlisted short thriller offers a propulsive, dynamic take on the plights of individuals with albinism in many African countries, who are believed by witch doctors to have magical properties and who hunt people with albinism down, mutilating them. It generates compelling suspense in following the plight of Mansa, who seeks revenge on the witch doctor and gets inside the headspace of someone traumatized by violence, who can't seem to shake its aftereffect.

The subject matter will be difficult and shocking to many, and through its energetic pace and vivid, dazzling visuals, the film offers a visceral and powerful way to enter into the issue and tap into the profound injustice of it all. We also get glimpses of the albinism community, and the way they must band together to feel accepted and safe -- and are set apart from mainstream life.

The narrative covers a lot of ground, needing to quickly establish the cultural context, relationships and characters. It crams a feature's worth of events into the short format, juggling many story elements, though it takes more time in a slightly slower, more internal middle section exploring Mansa's trauma and the way that resentment has twisted her emotions.

Actor Refilwe Modiselle's performance captures how the inhumanity she faced has scarred her, twisting her emotions into a bitter resentment and rage at what happened to her. But actor Aubrey Mmakola's performance as the witch doctor Natron captures the true horror of the plight of Mansa and others with albinism. Natron looks at Mansa in their re-encounter and sees nothing but a commodity, and the matter-of-factness of his dehumanization of her is chilling, pushing Mansa to the brink in an explosive climax.

It's tempting to think of the idea of mutilating people with albinism as savage, superstitious and barbaric, and not go deeper into why such practices persist in the cultures that hold these beliefs. But WHITE GOLD has a slight twist at its conclusion, one that offers some subtle commentary on why these beliefs persist. In some ways, the ending is even more disturbing than it appears at first because it demonstrates how deeply embedded such ideas are into the social fabric, and how poverty and a lack of options contribute to their endurance, despite education, morality or notions of human decency. The injustice at the heart of WHITE GOLD is clear, but the solution will be much more complicated to put in place.
