Eileen's father Timothy O'Connell emigrated from Ireland to South Australia in 1878 and taught at a number of rural teaching posts throughout the state.Eileen married Ernest Ravenscroft Kempe in Adelaide in 1918.Ernie managed Sir Sydney Kidman's Macumba Station, Oodnadatta SA.nnEileen met Ernie in Oodnadatta when she visited her brother, William O'Connell who taught at the school.Ernie and Will were great friends.
