Davey Hamilton, from Indianapolis, was struggling to find the truck of his dreams. But having been inspired by his friend in Maine, another former driver who owned a truck, Davey decided to take things one step further. But to build his backwards truck, Davey had to first find a truck with a big back window that could act as a windscreen. Davey told R.Rides: âA lot of the older trucks have really small back windows; they donât have the wide ones. I couldnât find a truck with a big back window. I happened to find this truck three miles from my fatherâs house and knew I had to get it.â The truck had its original body, frames and pedals. âWe had put the lights on obviously, going the wrong direction. I didn't know what to do for bed cover. So, we figured to keep the rustic look.â Davey had to do a lot of work for the truck to work just right. âWe had to cut a hole between the bed of the truck and the cab of the truck for your feet to go in. And so that had to be sealed up so there's no water getting inside the truck.â With the seats in and doors on, the truck still had a little to go before making its road debut. The windshield wipers got installed to make it safe, so the truck had everything thatâs required to get going. âIt looks like it's supposed to go forward. And so, it took some time and to get everything levelled out and make sure that was mounted properly.â And Davey loves his creation for lots of reasons. âNumber one, itâs an attention getter. Number two, it's definitely a fan favourite, number three, it was a lot of work. There's new people that see it every time we take it out and it's definitely a crowd getter.â")

Some have sought clarification to be told by harbour staff that it is 20 minutes, whilst others insist that if your vehicle enters the car park for longer than 10 minutes, without purchasing a ticket, you will receive notice of a hefty fine in the post.<br/>âI have asked more than once for a simple answer to a simple question - how long is the âgrace periodâ the harbour has agreed with the parking company so we can all know if you have one minute to drop or collect someone for work or if you have five?â one local resident posted on Facebook.<br/>âWhat about guests driving to the marine centre to drop off their luggage when they check in. The charge is to âuse the car parkâ even if you donât park. <br/>âThatâs what will make the company thousands of pounds this summer and ruin a lot of holidays when visitors receive their surprise ticket or tickets on returning home.<br/>âAnyone launching boats, fuelling boats, collecting trailers, dropping off kayaks, picking up workers at the end of the day etc are all money making opportunities with this new charge.<br/>âI feel most for the older people or those with mobility issues who drive down late in the evening and purchase fish and chips - to take away. They now have to pay to park. Itâs all just an opportunity for money now. Greed!â")
